Changes In Skin Appearance

Changes in the appearance of your skin, such as texture or color, are a result of poor circulation in the arteries and veins. When your circulation is compromised, blood flow is decreased resulting in increased pressure in the vessels, leading to inflammation of the skin. The resulting inflammation may cause the skin to become leathery, itchy or reddish, and even thick, rough, flaky, dry, or waxy.
