Dr. Richard A. Pollak graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1973. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1977. He later completed a two-year surgical residency from Northlake Community Hospital in Northlake, Illinois in 1979. He subsequently received a Master of Science degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983.

He is a member of the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and has served on various committees for the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, the Texas Podiatric Medical Association, as well as local hospital committees. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a current member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and the Bexar County Medical Society.

Dr. Pollak has authored and co-authored numerous scientific articles and is well versed in all areas of foot surgery. He has been a noted national lecturer and has been a principal clinical investigator in over 35 clinical trials.

He has staff privileges at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital, St. Luke's Baptist Hospital, Santa Rosa Northwest and numerous surgical centers in the San Antonio area.

Besides being in private practice with San Antonio Podiatry Associates since 1979, he holds an appointment as a clinical assistant professor with the Podiatry Service of the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

He has resided in San Antonio since 1979 with his wife, and three grown children. His outside interests include family activities, golf, tennis and jogging. Read less
