Dr. Bhakta completed his undergraduate work at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Biochemistry. Dr. Bhakta completed his undergraduate work at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Biochemistry. He then pursued his podiatric medical degree at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California and received his degree in 2018. Dr. Bhakta continued his post-graduate training by completing a residency at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Texas that focused extensively on forefoot and rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr. Bhakta also participated in a short internship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas that emphasized limb salvage and woundcare. He is currently an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Bhakta and his wife, Le, are proud parents of their fur baby Bruno. When not hard at work Dr. Bhakta enjoys photography, golf, and of course all things his Alma Mater, Hook ‘em. Read less
