Dr. Jacob R. Zide is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas finishing first in his class.

Dr. Jacob R. Zide is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and graduated with honors from the University of Texas in Austin. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas finishing first in his class.

Dr. Zide is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was awarded the Gold Humanism Award in 2007. He completed both his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, Dallas, Texas. While there, Dr. Zide served as Chief Resident and was awarded the W. Brandon Carrel distinguished Physician Award.

He then completed an additional year of Fellowship in foot & ankle surgery at the Institute for Foot & Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Zide is the Assistant Director of the Dallas Foot & Ankle Fellowship Program and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He has a special interest in the treatment of complex adolescent deformity and is the Co-director of the Complex Adolescent Foot and Ankle Deformity Clinic at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
