As a life-long resident, Dr. Efren Buff De La Rosa has a deep commitment to the community of El Paso, TX—where he was born, raised, and began his undergraduate education at El Paso Community College, and the University of El Paso. He continued his education in California, graduating from medical school at The California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1991. He also received post-graduate training with a Podiatric Residency at the Los Angeles County/University of Southern California from 1991-1992, and a Podiatric Surgical Residency at the Delano Regional Medical Center in Delano, CA in 1993.

Dr. De La Rosa was board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 2000 and serves as a Board Member of the El Paso Diabetes Association. He is also a member of both the Texas Podiatric Medical Association and the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is affiliated with the Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus. As a teaching professional, Dr. De La Rosa has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine at the California College of Podiatric Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS).

Dr. De La Rosa’s education, academic and board positions as well as 30 years of experience, make him a distinguished authority on many advanced diagnostic technologies, cutting-edge therapies and leading treatments for many types of foot and ankle disorders—including foot and ankle surgery. Recognizing the importance of continued education and training, Dr. De La Rosa works diligently to stay on top of emerging technologies and treatments to help the people of El Paso feel better and lead their best possible lives.
