Dr. David Jenson, DPM, FAENS, offers a unique combination of training, expertise, and a warm, personable nature. As one of the most highly sought-after foot and ankle specialists in The Woodlands, Texas, area, Dr. Jenson is proud of the role he’s played in improving the health and wellness of so many families.

Dr. Jenson founded Jenson Foot and Ankle Specialists to create a resource for patients searching for the most advanced diagnostic and treatment services in the region. He and his team offer solutions for foot and ankle issues ranging from simple wart removal to diabetic wound care, strains and sprains, complex fracture repair, and more. Dr. Jenson is also trained in and treats a variety of nerve issues.

Education has always played a central role in Dr. Jenson’s life. He began his studies at Utah State University in Logan. He went on to earn his medical degree at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and continues to train in the most advanced technology and treatments.

Dr. Jenson further refined his skills and training through an internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. From there he pursued additional education opportunities in New York City, focusing on gait analysis, pediatric orthopedics, biomechanics, and surgery. A surgical residency in Houston, Texas, and fellowship training in lower extremity peripheral nerve surgery followed.

One of the things that sets Dr. Jenson apart is his skill in decompression nerve surgery. He’s also proud to be among only a few specialists to offer Subchondroplasty®, an innovative procedure used to treat fractures without the need for invasive surgery.

Among his professional affiliations is membership in the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, Lower Extremity Peripheral Nerve Fellowship Group, and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.

When not serving patients, you’ll find Dr. Jenson engaged in running, sports, travel, and reading. He’s also a proud father of three, and he and his wife enjoy sharing all that the greater Houston area has to offer with their kids. Read less
