Offering state-of-the-art equipment and the latest in patient-centered restorative techniques, David M. Bloome, MD and his talented team are dedicated to providing the best orthopedic foot and ankle care for people from all walks of life in and around Houston.

Whether you’re an athlete trying to get back in the game or the victim of a traumatic injury looking for a road to recovery, Dr. Bloome knows that everyone has their own challenges and goals for getting healthy again. That’s why he offers both operative and nonoperative treatments for most foot and ankle problems.

Dr. Bloome combines this personalized approach with the latest in medical technology and years of experience performing orthopedic procedures. As a result, there is little injury to the musculoskeletal system that Dr. Bloome can’t treat, including bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons.

Conservative measures are Dr. Bloome’s first approach to your orthopedic problems, but he specializes in ankle surgery, Achilles tears, ankle fractures, total ankle replacement, and arthroscopy, so he quickly and effectively repairs more severe injuries with surgery as needed. No matter what it takes, Dr. Bloome’s primary goal is to get you back to the active lifestyle you crave.

Dr. Bloome, a native Houstonian, graduated from St. John’s School where he excelled in academics and athletics, and was also an accomplished drummer. He ran track at Emory University where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After medical school at the University of Texas—Southwestern in Dallas, and residency at the University of New Mexico, he came back to Houston to make it his home again. His proudest accomplishment in life, however, is his family – his beautiful wife and three children. In his spare time, he can be found coaching their sports teams or taking them fishing.
