Dr. Matt Sloan was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Cistercian Preparatory School and went on to earn his bachelors degree in Biology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated with a medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, then served his residency at Parkland Memorial hospital in Anesthesiology with additional training and emphasis on interventional pain management.
Matt and his wife, Angella, live in North Dallas and spend their spare time fishing, biking, swimming as well as enjoying time with family and friends. Angella is an accomplished real estate attorney in the region and they have 3 daughters between them ranging from 21-25 years of age.
Dr. Sloan began practicing medicine in the area of anesthesiology but soon focused his attention in the pain management and interventional medicine areas. He started his private practice in 1987 and has spent the last 29 years perfecting patient care in pain management and other related areas of medicine. He is board certified in Anesthesiology with a board certification ABA sub-specialty in pain medicine.
Dr. Sloan believes patient care is the most important part of his practice. He uses a broad spectrum of treatment options for acute and chronic pain and offers a wide variety of interventional therapies as well.
